Bonjour, Paris
Our journey began in the heart of Paris, the fragrance capital of the world. Stepping off the plane and onto the Parisian streets felt like a long-awaited dream come true! After many years without traveling abroad, this trip was more than just a vacation—it was an exciting step back into a world of new experiences and adventures.
Wandering the charming streets, taking a boat tour on the Seine River, and spending a night with an up-close view of the Eiffel Tower was absolutely incredible and reignited our love of travel again. Every corner of Paris offered something unique and unforgettable. The sights, sounds, and atmosphere seemingly brought to life the essence of our newest fragrance Leap of Faith. It draws inspiration from the fairytale of The Frog Prince, a story about transformations and unexpected blessings. Although this journey marked our first international trip in a long time, it was a welcoming reminder that taking a leap into the unknown can lead to the most wondrous experiences.
I Want Adventure in the Great, Wide Somewhere
From Paris, we took the train to the picturesque region of Alsace, home of many charming villages that inspired the small town in Beauty and the Beast. We chose to visit Riquewihr, which was nestled among rolling vineyards and surrounded by medieval architecture. It’s easy to see why Disney Imagineers took inspiration from here - it was like stepping into a fairytale!
As we strolled through the cobblestone streets with half-timbered houses and flower-filled boxes at every turn, we truly felt like we were part of the movie. Of course I had to channel my inner Belle and take a picture posing in front of the fountain. The quaint ambiance perfectly resonated with our La Belle et la Bête fragrance, capturing the beautiful love story that was written of this charming, old-world setting.
A Weekend in a Castle
Our next stop took us across the border to Germany, where we spent a weekend at the 12th-century castle of Burg Windeck. Perched high above the Rhine Valley in the Black Forest, it seemed to be straight out of one of the Grimm Brother’s stories. We felt as though we were transported back in time, and we couldn't help but imagine Rapunzel’s golden hair cascading down the tower. Our fragrance Towering Beauty is a tribute to this tale of hope and resilience and we may have secretly said, “Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair” as we gazed upon this magnificent beauty.
Returning to Paris: A Magical Finale
Our journey came full circle as we took the train back to Paris, ready to conclude our adventure at Disneyland Paris. We couldn't resist riding Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) and Phantom Manor, wandering through Alice’s Curious Labyrinth and Le Passage Enchanté d'Aladdin, and visiting La Tanière du Dragon (Maleficent’s Dragon Lair) inside Sleeping Beauty’s castle. We finished our trip with Disney Electrical Sky Parade, which was an impressive drone show above the castle.
The Disney magic was truly there and showed us the boundless joy and wonder that fairytales can bring. Our Pixie Dust fragrance aims to encapsulate this spirit, inviting you to a world where dreams come true and every moment is filled with possibility.
